Eight Steps to Audit-Ready Sanitation
The same sequence our teams coach on the floor — consistent, repeatable, and evidence-backed.
Remove gross soils, debris, and trash from equipment and floors using brushes or scrapers.
Rinse surfaces with water (usually hot) to remove remaining loose soils.
Apply detergent to break down fats and proteins. Scrub surfaces to remove biofilm and stubborn soil.
Thoroughly rinse all detergent and loosened soil off, typically from top to bottom.
Visually inspect equipment for cleanliness, checking that all soils are removed.
Apply NSF-approved sanitizer to kill remaining micro-organisms.
Allow equipment to air dry completely to prevent bacterial growth before reassembly.
Record cleaning process and compliance for safety standards.
